Minneapolis, Minn. - Former Captain, now Freshman Forward, Elliot Van Orsdel ('01), overcame injuries that slowed his NCAA debut. The Eveleth, Minnesota native played in just 9 games for the Southern Maine Huskies, all in 2023. 

After being sidelined with injuries for the team's first 15 games, Van Orsdel made his NCAA debut in a 3-2 home loss to Babson College on January 7, 2023.

He notched his first NCAA point on January 14, 2023 when he assisted on the team's third goal in a tight 4-3 win versus Elmira College at home. 

Van Orsdel's season highlight came on January 27, 2023 in a win versus Skidmore College. The forward scored a goal and registered two assists in a come from behind win in front of the home crowd. 

In 9 games, Van Orsdel tallied 1 goal and added 4 assists during the 2022-2023 season.
