BOULDER, CO -- The Minnesota Mullets are excited to announce forward Tommy Strelow has committed to the University of Colorado Boulder. The sharp-shooting winger notched 23 goals in 44 regular season games, and scored two goals in four playoff games.

“Colorado has always been a dream of mine,” Strelow said. “I’m looking forward to succeeding in the classroom to get my degree, as well as succeeding on the ice. The Buffalos have a great program and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
While Strelow has not yet decided on a major, he is leaning towards Computer Science with a minor in Astronautical/Aerospace Engineering.

“I’ve always loved space, so I definitely want to get into that field of study,” Strelow added with a smile.

Colorado finished second in the Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL) last year after posting a 16-5 record.

A native of Mahtomedi, MN, Tommy says his time playing Junior Hockey has helped prepare him to make the jump to playing at the college level.
“I believe playing in juniors has made me a stronger player and has set me up to do well on and off the ice in college.”

“I’m excited for Tommy and this next step in his career in the classroom and on the ice,” Mullets Head Coach Chris Walby said. “(Colorado’s Head Coach) Coach Ballard is a great coach and has built an incredible program. I think it’s a great fit.”
Strelow is the 29th player from Walby’s programs to advance to the collegiate level in the past six years.
